Project Manager

Mtech-Icon has been serving the central Texas business community for over 25 years. The company designs, installs and services commercial and industrial facilities. Mtech-Icon is part of the Comfort Systems USA family of mechanical contractors.

JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Possess knowledge of all types of commercial mechanical systems, their installation requirements, and operation.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges.
  • Direct others and effectively address conflict.
  • Knowledge of Central Texas construction market.

JOB SUMMARY

  • The project manager position serves as the company representative responsible for management of all aspects of construction-based mechanical installation.
  • Managing the financial, administrative, and technical component of projects is the primary focus of this position.
  • Responsible for building a strong relationship with clients by exceeding their expectations, thereby creating interest for a continued professional relationship.
  • Management of contract administration to include job setup, manpower scheduling, change orders, submittals, and procurement as well as project financials.
  • Responsible for project budget through control of expenses, administration of contract billings, preparation of accurate job cost forecasts, identifying work not covered by contract, managing project schedule, related labor as well as job site safety.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and/or CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • 5+ trade specific experience required
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Project
  • Industry specific software is a plus
  • BS in either Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science or equivalent work experience is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
